A protocol
is used in various fields including communication and for office conversations
or groups. It means a set of rules or guidelines that need to be followed. The protocols used are:
Wi-Fi – Wi-Fi
is wireless internet that is from a dongle. It uses radio waves to provide high
speed wireless internet and network connections. You do not have to connect anything
up to your phone, laptop, tablet e.g. … You normally need a password to connect
up to the dongle though.
SMS – SMS stands
for short messaging service or simply known as ‘texting’. People use SMS to
send messages to people via mobile or internet devices. You can only use up to
160 characters (letters) per text.
GPRS – GPRS
stands for General Packet Radio Service. It is a mobile data service available to
2G and 3G communication devices. GPRS is slower than 3G it doesn’t connect to
the internet as quick but it can help send SMS or any other multimedia message
to other people.
Bluetooth - Bluetooth is a wireless technology and you can send different data to another device over short distances. For example...two phones pair up with bluetooth and you can send images, music, etc. It uses radio frequency to transmit data.
Infrared - Infrared uses infrared light to transfer data. Infrared communication provides a point-to-point, low cost way to connect computers with each other. You can also use infrared to connect up with other devices and appliances.

A good start, but you also need to explain bluetooth, and infrared, You also need to explain the range and coverage for each, and give an indication of the type of files that can be sent.
