Unit 35. M1

Limitations...

The limitations of the technology is that it can be quite expensive just for the one work space. Also some people people could find the technology quite difficult to use if they haven't worked with computers etc...

With the Philips PicoPix projector once the bulb has ran out a new one will have to be replaced and the bulbs are very expensive, also it can be a pain to change them. The bulbs would have to be cleaned frequently as well. The Norton internet security will eventually run out also so it will need to be renewed and it costs £39.99 a disc. The EPSON expression premium printer will cost a lot as well. Different colours or ink will have to be bought to print out pictures and other things that involve colour and it will also cost money for laminated paper, card etc.. The Logitech wireless mouse can be a problem as well because it can sometimes stop being wireless. With the Acer desktop PC it may over heat if it has been used for so long and it could gradually become slower the older it gets. The Acer HD monitor will sometimes turn off if it has been on for awhile and this could get annoying when doing work. Lastly with the Microsoft wireless keyboard the keys may get stuck sometimes and like the mouse it may lose its wireless.

I would say that all the technology shown are worth the money because these problems can be solved easily and you are getting your moneys worth.

  1. www: M1 You have effectively compared the limitations
    of different hardware and
    software packages used in
    graphics work
ebi: If you discussed costs as part of the limitation.
